Privacy policy
Effective October 21, 2026 (updated for rankings and language selection)
Exit Mine ("the site", https://exitmine.app) respects your privacy. This page explains what information is used and how. If this English translation differs from the Korean version, the Korean version applies.
1. Personal information we collect directly
There's no sign-up, and the site doesn't collect information that identifies you, such as your name, email, or phone number. Only if you email us do we receive your email address and message, which we use to reply and delete once they're no longer needed.
2. Game data stored on your device
Your stage progress, best records on this device, and last chosen mode are stored in your browser's storage (localStorage). They're removed when you clear the site's data in your browser settings or press "Reset records" in the game.
3. Rankings
When you play while online, you take part in the rankings, and the following is stored on the ranking server.
| Item | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous account ID | A random ID created automatically for each device (not linked to your name, email, or similar) | Telling whose record is whose |
| Nickname | Only if you choose to set one | Showing your name in the ranking |
| Game records | Board number, whether and how fast you cleared it, cells opened, and the order and timing of opened cells | Calculating ranks and checking for invalid records |
- Only your nickname and records (time and cells) are public in the ranking. Other details, such as the order you opened cells, are not.
- The ranking server runs on Supabase (Supabase Inc.), and the data is kept on servers operated by Supabase. Sign-in information for your anonymous account is stored in your browser's storage.
- To delete your records, email us at the address below. If you clear your browser data, you can no longer access that anonymous account, so earlier records can only be deleted by contacting us.
- Nicknames that may offend others can be changed or removed by the operator.
4. Language selection
- On your first visit, the site picks Korean or English based on the country Cloudflare detects from your connection (IP address). The country is used only for this choice and is not stored.
-
Your language is remembered in a cookie named
lang(for one year). You can switch languages anytime with the language link on each page.
5. Ads and cookies
The site shows Google AdSense ads to cover its running costs.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- See how Google uses data from sites that use its services in Google's partner sites policy.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland may be asked for consent to advertising cookies and can change their choice at any time.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The game still works without cookies, but ads may be less relevant to you.
6. Hosting and access logs
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. To provide the service and keep it secure (for example, against DDoS attacks), Cloudflare may process technical access data such as IP addresses, browser type, and access times. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for details.
7. Children's privacy
The game is for everyone, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll post the changes and the new effective date on this page.
