October 21, 2026 — Every run is ranked
- Practice runs are gone. In Daily you can try as many times as you like, every run is recorded, and each player is ranked by their best run.
- Stage runs start once the server has sent the board, so every run counts for the ranking when you're online.
- The Korean name of the game is now 지뢰 탈출 (the English name stays Exit Mine).
October 21, 2026 — English version
- The game and all guide pages are now available in English at exitmine.app/en/.
- On your first visit, the site picks Korean or English based on your country. Switch anytime with the language link.
October 21, 2026 — Daily mode and rankings
- 📅 Daily: everyone plays the same 15×15 board (40 mines) for a day. (At launch only the first try counted; see the change above.)
- 🏆 Rankings: view daily and per-stage rankings by time (fastest) or cells (fewest opened).
- Stage cell rankings compare "extra cells" — cells opened minus that board's shortest path — so lucky boards matter less.
- No sign-up: each device gets an anonymous account, and setting a nickname shows your name in the ranking.
- Ranked runs are verified by the server, which rebuilds the same board, and the time is measured on the server.
October 21, 2026 — Launch
Game
- Stages 1–10: starting at 10×10 and growing one cell per stage up to 19×19, with mine density rising from about 14% to 21%.
- Every board is checked by a solver so that you can reach the exit from the revealed numbers without guessing.
- No mines next to the entrance, so your first move is always safe.
- On a loss, the game shows every mine and any wrong flags, and you can retry on a new board of the same size.
- On a clear, the game shows your path, your record, and the shortest possible safe path on that board.
Modes
- Classic: no time limit — the fewer cells you open, the better. Time is shown for reference.
- Time attack: clear each stage within its limit (1:30, plus 20 seconds per stage). Your fastest clear is recorded.
- Progress and best records are kept separately for each mode.
- Tap the timer or press P to pause. The game pauses itself when you switch apps or tabs.
Controls and display
- Phones: long-press to flag, pinch to zoom, drag to move. Controls sit at the bottom within thumb reach.
- Computers: right-click to flag, Space to switch between open and flag, Ctrl+wheel to zoom.
- In landscape, info sits on the left and the board on the right.
- Devices set to dark mode get a dark theme automatically.
